Monthly event for Congregation Beth Am Women's Circle, but open to the community. Please join us for a very special opportunity to learn about what it’s like to be a female combat soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. We will get a rare glimpse “behind the scenes” of the IDF with Debbie Zimelman, an award-winning photographer who lives in Israel and has recently published the book “Women on the Front Lines--Inside the Combat Units of the Israeli Army”. This is the first book to offer a photographic glimpse of these brave young women in action, along with descriptions—in their own words—of their fears, challenges, and accomplishments. We will hear from Debbie, and also a female combat soldier currently serving in the IDF. Women’s Circle members have a discounted admission price, but the event is open to the community.
**A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Tzofim Garin Tzabar that provides a 360° support system and framework for those who wish to join the IDF as lone soldiers before moving to Israel, before joining the army, during and after their army service
